Straight down the middle is where it’s at for the new year. An increasing amount of models have been rocking the centre part on the runways for Spring 2017 collection shows. This look is smart and sophisticated and easy to accomplish at home. You can wear this look pin straight, wavy or ultra-curly. Sparingly apply some frizz serum to your roots and smooth the sides down. Fasten or tuck the front hairs behind your ears for a face framing shape or let the hair free and let it flow. Either way you’ll be rocking a runway worthy look.

Braids have been hot for a while now. The problem is there’s way too many styles to choose from and if you’re like me, you might find that braiding your own hair is nearly impossible.
Like anything, practice makes perfect. There are literally millions of DIY braid videos to watch that will walk you through a step by step process. Check out Evoke’s Instagram and Facebook pages for super easy DIY videos from our very own Dee Lewis who’s always killin’ it with her easy to achieve styles.

Everything old eventually becomes new again. Our perfect example this morning is the 1970’s fringe which has been seen strutting down the runways this season. This look is definitely for the wild at heart and for women looking to shake things up. Wear this fringe cut short or long, with a solid colour or balayage applique. Either way this look can be tailored to fit your personality completely. We highly recommend you receive professional treatment for this style as it’s a hard cut to DIY.

Enjoy the warm and beautiful weather this week Toronto, our deep freeze is on its way.

See you at the salon,
